Graduation!

Ready for my African Safari song

So sorry it's been a while, but this unemployment thing really keeps me busy! How I worked 50 hours a week with a husband and a 5 year old is beyond me! Anywho, still looking to go back to work, but pickins' are slim. But I'm sure the right thing will come along soon.
I took Dylan out of school for the month of August to hang out and have some summer fun. Got lots of things planned! We just had his 5th birthday party on August 1st and we're doing a trip to Disneyland on his actual birthday, August 6th. Disney has finally decided to join the ranks of family discounting and is allowing Southern CA residents to get in free on the day of their birthday-shocking huh?! So we'll be heading out to that adventure shortly!
We'll be making a 10 day trip to TX as well to visit the family and have some fun there. Plus some day trips to Legoland, Catalina Island, and many days at the beach and lake. I'm sure when September rolls around, I'll be more than happy to bring him back to school.

On a side note, Mark and I are doing well. I keep busy with a million things going on, as usual! Mark is doing so well in school and still working full time. Needless to say, we see him about 4 hours a week. But it will be worth it in the end. Other than that, all is good!

I've posted some random pictures from the summer - Dylan's preschool graduation and other things.

Hope all is well with all you bloggers!

It's Been a While...

Well, it's obvious I haven't "blogged" in a while....I was laid off from my job in January, so I hadn't updated it since. Not that I'm back in it, I've posted a few updated pics of Dylan at Zoomar's and on Easter.

Things have been good...I've been enjoying my time off and hope to get back to working here soon!

Hope all is well with everyone!

"Santa Clause is coming....to town....."

Hard to believe it's already December. Lucky for me, I prepared like I always say I will this year. Tree is up, lights are hung, presents are bought and EVEN wrapped!! I even managed to make some toy donations as well! I will actually be able to enjoy the holiday festivities this month instead of fighting crowds and shopping! YUK!

Here are some pics of Mr. Dylan welcoming Santa on the Mission Viejo fire truck last Sunday. We took him back on Wednesday night to see the lights and visit Santa in his workshop to tell him what he wanted for Christmas. Though he never made it to his lap, he did manage to share that he would like a yellow Power Ranger and a light saber....who knew my charming socialite would be a little skittish of Santa!

As a side note, there is a photo here of a group of little snowmen dancers that performed on the stage. Dylan kept asking as each group came on - "where are the boys?".....well, as you can see here-one FINALLY made it out!

Spooky....

Halloween has come and gone....again....Dylan had a blast of course and mommy once again has told herself "I won't go through this much work next year" (though we all know I will)....

Though I love so much the process of having Dylan pick out a costume and get dressed up, overdose on candy, and contemplate which houses are "too scary" to visit, I still REALLY miss the halloween days from home...

I'm not joking when I said we had probably a thousand trick or treaters at our house where I grew up. It was an event!! Grandparents, family, friends, parents of friends, neighbors, huge dinners, hay rides---such a blast!! No candy inspections or adult supervision needed-you knew every person of every house you went to.....And how EVERY year, EVERYONE in the whole neighborhood KNEW the Moffitt's would give out WHOLE candy bars!! And because we were tight growing up, we got dibs on the first ones and as many as we wanted.

Fun times.....maybe next year I'll venture to the Lone Star state to give Dylan a taste of what it was like for mommy...

My first blog...

Well, I finally decided this might be a good idea. I really do try to limit myself from too much activity on the web, but I guess I've reach the "been there done that" point of the MySpace's and Facebook's of the web.....now on to this I suppose.

I'm hoping this will be a more convenient way to share information about us and our extended families without having to send e-mails and clog everyone's inbox all the time.

So here we are - WELCOME!
